Micro Intervention Programme (MIP) 2008. The Micro Intervention Programme (MIP) is a program funded by the Belgian Ministry of Cooperation. It is a tool designed to support small scale developmental projects by the local people who are in dire needs. It aims to meet the essential needs of the local community or individuals who are pursuing the goal of development through viable sustainable development initiatives. The autonomous projects focus on groups of youth, women, men, elders and village communities, in areas such as socio-cultural development, education, health, youth development, basic infrastructure, and small income generating activities. Priority will be given to projects presented by women who are in dire needs in isolated local areas and who present income generating projects. The selection of projects to be implemented is done in coordination between both, the Attaché (Belgian Consulate) and the Resident Representative of the Belgian Technical Cooperation (BTC). Supervision and implementation of the selected projects is done by the Belgian Technical Cooperation.
For an overview of the selected projects in 2008, please consult our MIP overview 2008 file.
