Unified financial management system

Al Shamel Software to be installed in 6 Local Government Units in the West Bank. The company will supply, train, implement and activate the system in those areas with a target date to finish by October 12, 2008.  Installation and training phases have been completed successfully and the implementation phase is ongoing.   See more details One of the objectives of the LICP Project in coordination with the Ministry of Local Government is to bring about a greater degree of standardization in the financial and management systems used by LGUs.  It is hoped that there will be an improvement on the financial management capacity of municipalities.  The Financial Management System (FMS) will serve important purposes in the development of improved accountability, planning and management systems.  


Eight (8) Local Government Units (LGUs) in four (4 ) Joint Service Council Planning and Development (JSCPDs) areas were selected to receive the FMS.  They were also provided with the necessary hardware (computers, printers) for proper installation of the financial software.


 1.Deirestia Municipality in Easet Salfeet JSCPD
 2.Sarta Village Council & Masha Village Council in West Salfeet JSCPD (both will be sharing one systen , as the first step in the merging process between the two councils for their transformation into one municipality)
 3.Qarawaah Bnai Hassan Municipality (D) in West Salfeet JSCPD
 4.Yasoof Village Council and Iskaka Village Council in South Salfeet JSCPD (both will be sharing one system, as the first step in the merging process between the two councils for their transformation into one municipality)
 Quffien Municipality (C) in Al Sharaweyha JSCPD (Tulkarem area)
 Baka Al Sharkiyah Municipality (C) in Al Sharaweyha JSCPD (Tulkarem area)
